Time to fill you in on the latest exploits of The Experience.

Seems like the Covid Omicron strain is again ravaging though the countryside. The authorities want us to believe it’s peaked so things can get back to normal but time will tell whether the beast has been sated. We all have our own theories.
.
I’m putting the finishing touches on my latest track called Reggaetown. It’s probably the most commercial track I’ve recorded in a long time. Certainly has that happy bouncy feel that seems to be popular in South America – where another of my tracks – Hazy – is already super popular.

It’s interesting that many musicians don’t intend to go towards “pop” music but there’s a natural tendency to need feedback when you’re an artist. It’s kind of inevitable that the most commercial songs are the ones that generate the most feedback. It’s like the famous French writer Cocteau once said, you often become famous for the work you’re least proud of!
.
Great news. I’ve been offered a gig at the Anglers Club in Pirie – another five hour marathon on the 13th of February from 2pm till 7pm. If you’re passing, pop in and say hello!
.
Seems like other musicians in the area are coming out of hibernation. The talented Ellen Tefanis released her latest single recently – filmed at the Fed – which I note has just closed down – again.
.
Trainwreck seem to be making another comeback too. I’m glad.
.
Plus there’s been gigs by The Jukebox Boys, Tight Squeeze and there’s even a metal festival coming soon. All looking good.
